I like to focus on the wonderful things around us, such as nature and architecture to create highly detailed and accurate art from my observations. Attention to detail is almost an obsession, but omitting certain details in order to evoke the charm of times gone by is very satisfying.

I’m a time traveller armed with pencils, pens, watercolour and an almost limitless imagination. I’m completely drawn into my work and I hope it shows.

  • We recently purchased the ‘Cricklade Street’ print from Colin and we couldn’t be more pleased. Colin’s art is incredibly detailed and realistic, capturing the essence of the scene beautifully. His passion for his craft is evident in every brushstroke and it truly shows when he talks about his paintings. The ‘Cricklade Street’ print is a perfect addition to our Old Town home, bringing character and charm to our space. We were also fortunate enough to acquire another of Colin’s prints, which now proudly hangs in my daughter’s home. We are so happy with both pieces and highly recommend Colin’s work to anyone looking for exceptional art.

  • Art by Colin May! What can I say but wow! 2 prints of a RAF C130K purchased, both hung with pride. The attention to detail that Colin brings to his work is second to none. Given I like the subject of the art, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again in the future.

  • I commissioned Colin to draw a dilapidated farmhouse, which I was in the process of restoring. The result was a highly detailed, accurate representation showing all the cracks and rotten window frames! The property has now been fully renovated and Colin’s drawing hangs in my office. It’s a great reminder of our journey from purchasing a partial ruin to creating our dream home.
